On the 6th of February 2015, Jeff Mills and celebrated classical pianist Mikhaïl Rudy came together at Auditorium du Louvre in Paris to provide a soundtrack to the rushes of L’Enfer – a film by Henri-Georges Clouzot which was never finished.
The spontaneity and freeform nature of the performance was truly one-of-a-kind. Fortunately their extraterrestrial exploration was recorded so their hybridised sound of Mills’ digital mastery and Rudy’s emotive improvisation could be enjoyed over and over.
