Delsin present a new EP by B12 aka Steve Rutter entitled Orbiting Souls &  Sides Of Space, a collection of classic, lost and forgotten tracks from atmospheric techno producer D5.

Orbiting Souls is a somewhat complex journey, a representation of inner Bi Polar opposites; isolation; sadness, but also acknowledging the great and wonderful things around that swirl and support and energise us.
Sides Of Space is a compelling compilation that is wholly timeless from start to finish. Though driven by a fine sense of groove, it is also great head music that is richly musical and truly serene. In all, this releases reminds us that D5 is a underrated producer of emotive electronic landscapes.

As a solo artist, Baker explores the deconstructive sonic possibilities of the electric guitar as a primary sound source, creating music that ranges from experimental to post-rock to contemporary classical.

We invite you to discover a selection of records from Echospace. The duo comprised of Detroit’s Rod Modell and Chicago’s Steven Hitchell have spent nearly two decades producing low-key electronic music both bordering on the verge of myth. They’re considered by many the most noted producers operating in the dub-infused aftermath of the Basic Channel axis and all its myriad offshoots. Once their critically-acclaimed The Coldest Season (LOVE 033CD) emerged on the UK-based Modern Love label, the curtain was unveiled and the sound of Echospace was born. They’ve often been coined the true heirs to the Basic Channel legacy but their work finds a home somewhere on the outskirts of the galaxy, where Detroit soul ties to Jamaican roots played through a tunnel in deep space.

This evocative, immersive sound that is Echospace was born out of a love and passion for analog circuitry, sound design, field recordings and non-conventional methods of recording. But it’s also work that’s quintessentially building upon the Detroit electronic scene where it was born, and that divine marriage of roots and vision make the work at once so highly considered, so pertinent and so timeless.

STREAKULATOR is literally a swiss army knife for Ableton Live: you can do sidechain, sound design, waveshaping, filtering, wobble and growl basses, synth sounds from any source, heavy metallic effects, robostep sounds, perfectly synced gating, dramatically fast sound shifting with presets automation and it goes as far as your imagination can.

There are sections, but these indicate nature, spirit, vibe and feel rather than a genre or sound and style. Of course, in some cases the releases are related in sound and style, but the list was just so big we wanted to facilitate the browse through without cramping style by boxing in with genre boundaries. It also recognizes the diversity of the list, which includes everything and post-everything.”

Martin Nonstatic Granite, AES Dana & Miktek Alkaline and the Digiseeds compilation are included in the first section. No winners or runners-up; all the sections are alphabetized by artist.

Francis Harris returns to his own Scissor & Thread label under the Aris Kindt alias with the release of a new album titled Floods. This most recent project has been written in collaboration with longtime friend and guitarist Gabe Hedrick and precedes Harris’ sophomore solo album, Minutes of Sleep, released on the same imprint in 2014.
As stated in a press release, it took the artists over a year to write the entire project, “using a vintage 808, a modular eurorack and two guitars” as main tools.
