Francis M. Gri is a multi-instrumental composer born in Switzerland in 1982 and based in Italy.
After several releases on labels such as Cold Meat Industry with his “All my faith lost” band, Final Muzik for the “Apart” project, Francis launches his own label Krysalisound in 2010 with the album “Digital Frame” and the aim to present contemporary emotional resonances.
“Flow”, published in 2016, marks a big change of direction with sonority close to pure ambient and sound art, abandoning almost permanently drums and melodic structures. In 2017 he recorded the album “Segmenti” with Giulio Aldinucci, highly acclaimed by the media and later “Fall and flares”, a follow-up to “Flow”.
“Between Ocean and Sky“, his collaboration with Federico Mosconi was released in the Slowcraft Presents series created and curated by James Murray in 2018, this led to the composition of the “Remote redux” album out on Ultimae late 2019.
