Young producer Nicolas Jaar has announced that he is to scrap his Clown & Sunset imprint in favour of the brand new Other People label, described by Jaar as a serial label. ”Like a magazine, we deliver new content each week. Every Sunday, our members receive a new issue”. The first release is a various artist compilation entitled Trust, a mix of ambient and downtempo featuring Nikita Quasim, Valentin Stip, Acid Pauli and Jaar himself. The 13-track selection also features compositions from two members of Jaar’s live band, Will Epstein and Dave Harrington.
Almost a decade after his last Dial Records album, Lawrence continues with a wonderful selection of extraterrestrial house music: Films & Windows. As the album title suggests, Lawrence as a cineast and voyeur is inspired by an endless number of screened movies and real life films, some only appearing while watching landscapes, stars and people passing by in front of a train window. While wondering through moments like this, strange ideas of colorful sounds will occur inside the mind of the musician. Curently available in our shop.
